Well, not a great deal has really happened from the last time I posted a journal here.  I don't come here too much to add stuff of my own, I'm more lurking and looking at other peoples art, as you'll see by the ratio of fav's to deviations from me!

I've just come back from a wonderful holiday with my beautiful girlfriend,  we had a weeks break in Craven Arms in Shropshire, thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it We didn't do a whole lot of sight seeing, instead we just enjoyed being able to be together for a whole week without any interruptions from anyone.  We did venture up to Chester Zoo, which I must say was amazing, the size of it was a little off-putting to us to begin with, but once we arrived it didn't feel as big as we expected.  Probably because we didn't really think that of course most of the 110 acres is taken up by paddocks for the animals (doh!)

I have also collected my new car since I last wrote in here, I've got rid of the Astra now and I have an Audi A4 TDi, much more comfortable on the long journeys down to Kent to see Katie.

I'm eagerly awaiting the release of OSX Lion, hopefully this week, though I am not looking forward to the 4GB download of the file on my utterly wonderful 1.6 Mbps internet connection.  I'm honestly tempted to take my iMac to the Apple store and download it there, though it is a 27" iMac, so wouldn't be very easy to get into the shopping centre safely!  Hopefully it'll come out tomorrow and I can download the file while I'm away from the house, though I doubt I'll be lucky enough for it to download all of it while I'm at work judging in how long it takes for my iPhone software to download when that is needed.

On the note of internet connections, I've been looking at moving to Bedford/Milton Keynes in a year or so to be with Katie when she's at University, she wants to spend the first year in halls, and then after that we're looking at getting a flat/house together there And thankfully Bedford has already been switched on to the 100Mbps services from Virgin Media, and I'll be doing everything I can to get that service when we move there.  Hopefully by then the cost will have reduced too, as it becomes a more widespread service with more uptake.
